Having a bladder or bowel condition can feel isolating sometimes. Many people feel embarrassed by these conditions and find that they distance themselves from their family and friends emotionally and socially.
Knowing that there are other people out there that understand how you feel both physically and mentally can be a great help. Whilst there is plenty of medical information about bladder and bowel conditions out there, it can be harder to find real life accounts of how people manage their illness.
This is why we are reaching out to you, members of the Bladder and Bowel Community to share your story of how you either manage your condition or have overcome your condition. By being an advocate and telling us about your experience, we can spread awareness to the public, help end the stigma attached to bladder and bowel issues and connect those who are looking for help.
Could you become a Bladder and Bowel Advocate and share your story?
If this is something that you would like to do or find out more, please email help@bladderandbowel.org. In your email please tell us a little bit about yourself and your condition.
Help us to end the stigma and connect those with a bladder or bowel condition.
