Introducing the national scheme for participating locations and businesses to show their support for people living with a bladder and/or bowel condition, by allowing emergency access to a toilet.
People tell us they are feeling trapped in their own homes due to lack of public toilets and the fear of being caught short.
There are over 14 million people in the UK living with a bladder condition and 6.4 million with a bowel condition – your customers and clients could be silently suffering.
But you can help.
It’s simple to take part
By displaying a small window sticker prominently in your business or venue, you will be able to communicate clearly and discreetly to customers that you recognise and accept the Just Can’t Wait Toilet Card – and will offer access to a toilet if requested.
You’ll receive a welcome pack including:
- Information about the Just Can’t Wait Card
- Window stickers
- Training information for staff
- Supporting material
How it works
1 – Discuss the scheme with your staff and become familiar with the Just Can’t Wait Card and what it is for, and install your window stickers.
2 – If someone presents the card and asks to use a toilet, be patient, and show them to your facilities. Remember, they may be distressed.
3 – Ensure your toilets are clean and accessible at all times – and remember you could just save someone’s day by helping them.
