At Bladder & bowel Community we’ve been working in the background to bring you a fresh new look to our website and communications. Our aim is always to offer you the best experience possible, which is why the website has been designed with you in mind to incorporate feedback received from community members wherever possible. We’re pleased to share our new look with you!
The new website has been designed to be easier to navigate in the following ways:
Improved access to the Original Toilet Card
You’ll find a new and improved Just Can’t Wait Card experience for those that prefer a physical Plastic Card in their wallet or purse. There’s nothing wrong with wanting peace of mind! The Just Can’t Wait Card is now available to purchase directly from our website for just £2.95 delivered.
If you still love a freebie, our Digital Wallet version remains free, and always will be.
Clean Design
Our recognisable blue logo hasn’t changed, so you know you’re dealing with the same trusted organisation which has been providing support and information on bladder and bowel conditions for over 30 years. It just looks a little smarter!
We’ve incorporated lots of space, easy to read fonts, and clear buttons to help you get around.
Information Hubs
We know that navigating healthcare information can be exhausting. So we’ve reconfigured our website to help you, starting with special healthcare hubs. These new hubs begin with the themes of Bladder, Bowel, Catheter and Stoma to help you find all of the relatable articles you need, in one place.
Once you’ve discovered the new hubs, you can use our in depth search tool to seek articles based on key phrases that sum up your condition or symptom.
Improved Mobile Experience
We’ve made our website easier to use from a mobile device, with clean layout and responsive design that is optimised for visitors on a mobile device. We’ve included more images across our articles in order to support people who need visual aids, and better represent the many topics we cover.
Accessibility
You’ll see a new accessibility icon on the Left Hand side of our website too.
Click this icon to reveal options to change background colour, text size, contrast or font. We Continue to use the simplest fonts to ease readability, but we recognise that everyone absorbs information differently. If you need to readjust or revert back to the original website, simply go back into the panel and adjust your settings, or click ‘reset’.

Easier to access tools and information packs
We’ve also revamped some of our most valued resources. We’re known for our Downloads – easy to read information packs, downloadable for free. These have been given a spritz and are available to store on your device to revisit at any time. Filter by bladder, bowel or general resources to help refine your search. Remember to come back to the site regularly, as these will be updated as necessary.
This has been a considerable improvement to our online information hub, and we hope you enjoy browsing our new website. You’ll also be able to look out for our fresh newsletter design and reinvigorated communications across the board!
